COATING DESCRIPTION
|
This is a Multi-layer PVD Coating with a thickness of 3 µm. The plasma is obtained from the fusion of a Titanium and Aluminium cathode in a special percentage. The special atmosphere of the process and the high energies involved allow the creation of a layer with excellent characteristics, which grant a very high thermal resistance to the substrate.
It’s suggested when cutting high alloyed steels up to 1100 N/mm², for cutting cast iron, stainless steel and all material developing a high thermal energy.

This is currently the most common surface treatment for HSS cold saw blades.Tt’s not a PVD(TIN) treatment but controlled oxidation that produces a layer of iron oxide(Fe3O4) on the surface,which increases the self-lubricating capability of the blades.It’s used for general cutting work,except for aluminum,copper,brass,and their alloys due to the chemical incompability which sometimes occurs.Virtually all standard cold saw blade are available,ex-stock,with the treatment.

This is multiface PVD Coating with a 2,5 µm thickness.,which Obtained from a Titanium/Carbon plasma which gives to it the high hardness of 3000-3200HV.
The friction coefficient (0,2) is very low, thanks mainly to the strong presence of Carbon; this characteristic makes it very suited for applications where the materials to be cut are very rough, such as inox or medium-alloyed steels with hardnesses up to 800 N/mm².
TiCN coating cold saw blades are used most commonly for cutting stainless steel.

This is a PVD coating of a few micros that give the blade great surface hardness.The thermal conductivity protects the substratum from localised overheating.The relatively low friction coefficient,together with the other characteristics,make it possible to work at cutting and feed speeds 50% higher than with an untreated blade,so reducing the cutting times and number of blade changes,and therefore significantlly increasing the overall life of the tool.
